When I was in early stage of my R&D career, I carried one wrong concept about whiskey Maturation. I shared my concept with my boss (Who himself is the master of alcohol science, Nepal's billionaire and one of the greatest businessman), he smiled, did not reply me but came back to lab to work on new assignment. He started working with my assistance, he created mimic product as per my concept and showed how IT DOES NOT WORK!!! Basically, he spent more than a half day just to show me the correct procedure and just to teach me how every step matters. That day, I learned "how the positive attitude to give the feedback can change the mindset of beginner researcher".

I never read the whole article, I never read the whole book. I always read when I need to read and I read specific paragraph which can help my assignment. I never try to remember whole paragraph but I try to understand the concept so that I can create my own paragraph which will never be forgotten.

It is important to keep the feedback focused on the situation at hand and provide clear examples. Listen and don’t be hasty to make conclusions. In my experience it is about timing and delivery of the feedback.
