In a world where everybody thinks he/she is a photographer, the way to be different is to embrace a vision of the photographic art that is unique, as a analogic photographer or digital. Think in ways of doing the opposite of others, and don’t care if in the immediate you are not chosen. Finding a voice is more important that wining pitches. Without a voice, the tools are useless and banal. Don′t try to be different, everybody is trying that, try to be yourself, to find and share a unique vision of the world; don’t be ashamed of being an artist.

With an ever changing and fast paced world of technology we have no choice but to know whats new and whats trending. The great thing about it is that you learn new skills which again will help you deliver a better product to you clients

Start with analogue photography, learn and study the masters. Learn that photography is an art of error, of trial and error, of struggle, of never losing hope. The unpredictable side of analogue photography is the best learning; once again, study what is fashionable, and do the opposite; if everyone is doing things in one direction, look for another. Study and never give up. If you have to have a voice, it will end up winning.

Choose carefully who you follow and where you look for help online. There are a lot of people who can only give you mainstream directions, what everyone is doing, what is trendy and safe. Forget that, Forget safety, you are a creator, an artist, that is not your world; look for voices inside and outside the world of photography; specially outside, learn from writers, designers, filmmakers, sculptors; Sometimes other artists, from other areas, are the best way to help you grow and find your voice. There are very generous photographers online who are willing to help, but most will see you as competition. Be careful about the selection of voices you listen to online. And believe me when I say that in the online world, less is often more.

Exemplify your work, display it on websites, find online groups to help improve and explore new techniques to challenge yourself and others in the industry.

As a photographer, it's not just about taking pictures; your customers seek comprehensive solutions and a one-stop shop. Take real estate photography, for instance. You should have a diverse range of services in your repertoire, including drone aerial shots, 360 VR tours (both indoor and outdoor), virtual staging, headshots, promotional graphic material, 2D maps, and HD photos. Excelling in all these areas is crucial. When customers experience your quality, timely delivery, commitment, and competitive pricing, they will remain loyal. Trust me, once they see the value you offer, they won't leave.

Don't be fooled by the idea that the solutions lie in new technologies. The hardest thing to find in a creative job is the right language, whatever it may be; You can find this language in a book, a painting, a design piece, an interview, or simply on the street, where life happens. New technologies are great and can be very effective, but they are not a guarantee of anything; you will lose a lot of work by doing as I say, but if you do it, you will grow as an artist, you will create a reputation as a creator; Clients will begin to realize that you are a unique, strong and disruptive voice; Over time, this path will bear fruit. Art is not synonymous with haste or speed, solid things are done calmly, they are built little by little.

Reflect and adapt the former sometimes being very difficult to do as a photographer because you have to be critical on your own work. But being able to do that puts you in a far more powerful position to better your craft and offer better products to your clients. Take a step back and reflect you will be surprised what you find
