An intern has to learn and understand well the organization’s mission and vision and also know the proper channels one’s should use in the organization . To succeed in the internship they have to follow the proper internal channels of communication, learn from their peers and be ready to help in proposing means to voice the organization’s messages . Only if one comes ready to learn with an open heart and mind and with a smile that the intern will prosper as what they learn would be the basis to build on.

As an intern you should read past communications published by your company and understand the formats. Reaching an international audience may require the use of simpler words and you need to take note of that. Do not be scared to ask questions or reasons behind some formatting, every manager will be happy to work with an intern ready to learn. Also, try and note areas or actions that can be taken to improve the work and make suggestions with tangible reasons why this should be done. Your suggestions might not be accepted but it shows your in-depth understanding and your interest in improving.
