I love this call out. It's so important to show up to these events as your best self. That means all of the things listed here and ALSO doing some legwork on who else is attending. More often than not, participants (whether they are speaking or attending) sign up on the conference app, share their profiles...etc. You should be checking those out. Which peers at other organizations are doing good work? Now's your chance to connect with them. Who might be facing the same challenges? The sky's the limit in terms of what you can unearth at these events. But you have to put in the work.
