It is important that everyone brings something unique & dynamic to the table, and that they don’t all share the same skill sets. In business & blockchain, there needs to be 3 solid pillars or people; 1. Someone with the ideas & concepts. 2. Someone with the money or capital. 3. Someone with the TIME to do the tasks needed to create wealth. If Any one of these pillars are absent, the whole structure collapses. It’s critical everyone bring something unique to the table.

It is natural if you are in a certain field you must understand the field excellently to stand out from the competition. So, you should be updated on blockchain technology trends, protocols, and use cases. Engage in industry forums and attend conferences. It is important to understand the developing legal frameworks on crypto / blockchain. Many are still uninformed and imagine that crypto exists in a cowboy town, without any legal frameworks. What's really happening is that legal frameworks are playing catch up with innovations in the crypto space, e.g. DeFi, DID, tokenization, RWA, L1, L2, NFT, etc. Of course, when you start talking about these things with clients and regulators, you need to understand how they work. So get a crypto wallet, load up on some tokens, and try them out. Not a lot, just a little, and then you'll be informed by your real life experiences, rather than a random article on the Internet. After testing them out, you should revoke permissions.

Explaining advanced Blockchain concepts in simple terms is incredibly important. I try to explain everything like I’m explaining to a child. No high-level impressive terms when speaking to non-technical people. It’s easy to “sound smart” & just as easy to lose everyone’s attention & focus with industry jargon. Keep it simple.

Growth within the Blockchain industry is not accelerated, yet it's not rocket science either - educate yourself and network along the way (LinkedIn is a great tool). Build a personal brand and watch yourself grow into an expert later.

You don’t walk into a bank & say “I don’t know what I want” & you wouldn’t in the Blockchain space either. Clear goals, with Actionable Steps in between each goal is the way. Start from the end & work backwards. What is the end goal? Now work backwards each step, until you get to the beginning. Now take the 1st step & never look back. Actionable steps leading toward a predefined & CLEAR goal. Nothing will stop you. ??

Be it through networking events, LinkedIn, online mentorship programs or through educational courses, more and more partnerships and great connections are what you may benefit from joining this innovative industry.

Blockchain / crypto is a constantly evolving industry, and there are always new people coming into it. There are also a lot of old timers in the industry who feel that they established themselves. Nevertheless, if you're keen to explore this industry, you're going to have to build relationships with people who are in the community - whether industry thought leaders, tech wizards, investors, innovators, enthusiasts, and other HODLers. Help out when they ask for it, don't expect anything much in return - just don't overcommit if you're doing stuff for gratis. I gave free classes on copyrights to NFT communities; drafted agreements for token projects; consulted founders for free; all in the name of community. Some of them are still friends.

Blockchain technology is moving at an INCREDIBLE pace, and even a few days or weeks on the sidelines & you’re out of touch. Keeping up with the news & the inner workings of the tech stacks are important to staying on top of the revolving door of tech.

Check with a lawyer. Crypto might appear to be uncharted waters, so - if it's not illegal, it should be legal, right? But regulators tend to view crypto innovations without crypto-specific legislations, through the lens of existing laws. Etherdelta was charged with operating an unregistered exchange - even though it was decentralized. Numerous celebrities were charged by the SEC for promoting unregistered securities. In my country, MBI (which used their own crypto for their shopping mall tenants) was charged with operating an unlicensed payment system, before crypto-specific laws existed. Ask your lawyer, "How would existing laws regulate this?" If you're afraid of repercussions, seek clarity. Or seek to be exempted.

Not all blockchain technology is created equal. The future moves fast, and before we know it, quantum computing will be all that anyone worries about. It’s important to look at the technology BEHIND the meme coins, BEHIND the Blockchains themselves, to see who can win in the long term, and who’s here for profit. Web3 is the future. We just need to embrace it.
