Nothing causes more errors than overthinking and stress. When faced with a challenge ask for help and work with your peers when you need it. For me its as simple as popping in some earbuds cranking the tunes and getting back to work even when the server rack is on fire. Work the problems you know poke the problems that are tough eventually the fire will be out and things come back.

Staying Calm - I’ve learned from my leaders and mentors that sometimes the secret ingredient is to take your foot off the gas and step back. This approach helps in calming down and breaking bigger problems into smaller, manageable chunks. Staying calm or taking a refresher break before tackling complex situations leads to better decision-making.

If you are dealing with a a crisis pertaining to a change sometimes it is best to step away and take a break to clear your head. You’ll come back refreshed. Personally, I make more errors when I am stressed out. Also do not be afraid to reach out to your colleagues for assistance. Everyone is part of a team and has their own strengths and weaknesses so a second set of eyes or someone to assist during stressful periods can relieve a huge burden. Think outside the box, ensure you are getting adequate self care and don’t be afraid to say no if you are prone to make errors.
