Adopting a new tech into your team is making the team step out of its "comfort zone". Even as a technologist ourselves, often we get way too accustomed to a setup due to multiple reasons like learning curve it involves, the community support that a tech offers when in doubt, the expertise that the team holds and has a say on it, etc. But as always, technology is quite rapid and fluid and requires frequent reality check and would be faced with situations of bringing in a new tech into the workflow or processes. Stepping out of comfort zone is as good as for any other thing like swimming for first time and cycling for first time but just that it is collective in this case. So to acknowledge them sincerely before hand helps immensely.

With new Tech, fear is either a chasm that looks scary to cross, or a wall that looks difficult to climb. The adoption gap, or chasm, can materialize as a personal fear for one's job, or a fear of not being able to figure out a new tool, or fear of failing out in the open for others to see; those on the cliff before the chasm, and those on the cliff after. It's a state of high vulnerability for most people, but emphasizing "failure as process" can overcome this. Fear as a wall is often just laziness. Learning something new takes effort, which is effort diverted from the existing tech or process. The easiest way to overcome laziness is to incentivize "new laziness" in the new Tech - the state at which the new Tech has been fully adopted.

I have seen Slack and Team channels used very effectively, as they allow a large team to ask questions and have them answered promptly.
