Too much focus on fitment during internship may be counter productive as you may not clearly know what you really enjoy doing and unless you experiment you will not know. Having high job satisfaction is key to a successful career.

Often, a software designer has the chance to work on more than one topic simultaneously, which is one of the great advantages of this job. The 1st one is the most important one, because you don't need an internship where you just sit and drink coffee. A demanding place will have the chance to teach you how to work under pressure, the chance to learn new skills and to practice the ones you already have. Do this, and you will know how to face hard circumstances. The 2nd one, because that internship could land you a job there and you should avoid a toxic place.
