I think the key thing is not to see data for the purpose of rating or setting pay for individual teachers. Instead, think of it as we do formative assessment in the classroom - analyse the data to understand underlying causes and trends, and actively use this data to adapt teaching methodologies or school policies. Data is something we shouldn't be scared of, but instead see as a valuable tool in the classroom. It is best when data is openly available to all teachers, and teachers trained on how to use this data to actively improve their own teaching practice on a continual basis.
