Probability sampling leads to higher-quality data collection as the sample accurately represents the population. A simple example involves ground control point sampling for geometric corrections in satellite imagery and aerial photographs. While removing a sample from elevated areas may reduce the RMSE , it removes a crucial aspect of the landscape from the equation.

In my opinion, another way to prove is creating more evidence such as including other statistical analysis beside of spatial analysis to test the model like kappa value, regression analysis or other statistical analysis that could supporting the result and eliminating the bias. However, to leave some room for ambiguity is also alright since it could lead to a research gap that could be further studied in the future.

Research never definitively proves anything, but rather supports a particular position. Therefore, using causal statements or the word 'prove' is inappropriate. It is preferable to express findings as conditional probabilities. When drawing conclusions, it is essential to acknowledge the study's limitations, including the location, season, and specific conditions of the area. Consistency between conclusions and data is paramount. Results should not extend beyond the data. For instance, if a correlation between two variables is measured through correlation analysis, conclusions should not be expressed in a causal manner.

In my opinion, confirmation bias is a big obstacle in GIS jobs, potentially clouding impartial analysis. It's easy to gravitate toward data that supports our theories, but this might lead to ignoring contradictory evidence that is necessary for sound conclusions. For example, while studying urban development consequences, I've found a propensity to highlight data that verify environmental concerns while ignoring research that show good results. To counteract this tendency, I actively seek out other perspectives and encourage critical comments. This provides a more comprehensive evaluation of spatial data, promoting objective and well-rounded GIS studies that take into account several views and factual facts.
