I don't think it is a challenge at all! There are new incredible advancements coming out every day and I make sure that I try at least five per week. Some work together, and some are something completely out of my comfort zone, but once mastered, can be added to our offering. With tech advancements phasing out the dated old programs, we don't have a choice but to embrace the future with open arms. We are fortunate to be in an age where we too are growing with new tech. So my advice is to grab it with both hands so we can teach those walking in the footprints we leave behind!

The creative industry has always had a love/hate relationship with technology. It lowers barriers of entry, making the mastery of skills less valuable for the market, but it also empowers the pursuit of Ideas with less resources. As an example, making a draft for a print advert used to take a whole art department and weeks, while now can be done in minutes by one person. The best relationship with technology in our industry is the one that support our creative ideas, help us present it, sell it, be part of it, amplify it, make it executable, affordable, etc... Technology in creation is nothing but a mindless tool if there's no idea behind it. (This all applies for AI as well)

I know two types of successful creatives, the one that has is own website which he only uses when he applies for a job and his work is so impressive, awarded and impactful that there's no need to show it to anybody. Then there's the one who wants to be in the middle of the discussion, loves to show and tell, to see, to get feedback, to discuss latest work, be part of the community. Both are great approaches for a creative career, but let's be honest, the first one is way harder to achieve.

He conocido mentores que me han guiado, encontrado clientes potenciales y formado parte de proyectos emocionantes. Sin embargo, es importante ser selectivo con las conexiones y cultivar relaciones genuinas.

Todos los profesionales que estamos en el mundo creativo sabemos por experiencia que la creatividad suele causar agotamiento. Para combatirlo, establezco límites claros entre mi vida personal y profesional, pongo en práctica la “Técnica Pomodoro” y me dedico a actividades que me apasionan fuera del trabajo. Priorizar proyectos que me inspiren y saber cuándo declinar otros proyectos también me ha ayudado a mantener un equilibrio, “aunque no siempre se puede elegir en que proyectos trabajar cuando se trabaja bajo relación laboral”. Nunca hay que dejar de prestarle atención a la salud, tanto física como mental, el desgaste profesional o burnout son muy reales y causan mucho da?o, más allá de bloqueos creativos.

Cuando se habla de Creatividad, el tema de la IA esta tenido un papel casi protagonista. Considero que sí es una herramienta muy útil y hay que adoptarla y habituarse a ella, ya forma parte de nuestro día a día… pero es importante entender que “sólo es una herramienta”, no hay que competir contra ella y mucho menos considerarla como una entidad creativa. “LA IA NOS HACE MáS PRODUCTIVOS, NO MáS CREATIVOS.”
