If that person is all about data and the nitty gritty, use as many facts as possible to be persuasive and impactful. If that person is a holistic thinker, keep your sales pitch high level and don't distract in your content delivery. The lack of alignment often comes from a lack of understanding and the concern that an undertaking is unlikely to work out rather than a blatant rejection just for the sake of it or a goal being a poor idea that lacks substance.
