As a designer, an important thing to keep in mind is that the purpose behind the design is to communicate the intended information in an easy-to-understand way. Having flashy designs and "flexing your design muscles" is cool and all. But, if the intended audience can't grasp the information properly, then the design did not achieve its intended objective.

Maximise your role as a designer in a team's success by actively engaging and exchanging ideas. Communicate openly and effectively in order to align with team goals. Use your design knowledge to address challenges creatively and efficiently. Be receptive to comments and ready to iterate on your designs. Keep up with market developments and implement best practices. Support your peers by providing assistance and insights as needed. Understanding goals is crucial for any designer aiming to contribute effectively to a team's success. Start by comprehending the project’s objectives, target audience, and desired outcomes. Great ideas need clear communication. Personally, this is the most important skill for designers and leaders! We can't just design, we gotta explain the "why" & collaborate effectively. Here's how to unleash your communication superpower: Bridge the Gap: Speak the language of developers & stakeholders. Translate design choices into clear, concise messages. Show, Don't Tell: Use visuals! Sketches, prototypes, user flows - tell the design story with impact. Active Listening: Feedback is gold! Listen, incorporate insights, & show respect for your team. Bonus Tip: (Elevator Pitch) - Can you explain your design to a stakeholder in a short elevator ride? (5 minutes)

Be adaptable but know your benchmarks and boundaries. 01. What are your targets and how do you measure success? 02. We can't please everyone all the time. There are times when we have to change, pivot or get back to the drawing board when we've exhausted all possibilities.
