You need "Known-Knowns" to build upon, and to be able to iteratively experiment on top. If you want Known-Knows in what you can control, build automation into everything you can: testing, deployment, process. Confidence in what you have done and Fast Feedback in each iterative phase gives you space for innovation. Get something working fast, maybe 2 sprints. Get It In front of Users! Get feedback.

Agile was first taken as a way for teams to "slack". In fact, some folks thought of Scrum as a flexible way to managed SDLC. Well, Scrum is IMMUTABLE! Agile brings options, for instance. Some small projects don't need Scrum but Kanban instead. Important to realize Agile always foresee key goals: continuous delivery, spikes with potential to become greefield or R&D initiatives, metrics to gauge the progress and feedback across teams and stakeholders. Agile is also clear to provide an overall project progress. What I see as a key, Agile allows leaders and teams to make choices according to data-points. Inasmuch it empowers teams and companies, it also brings the reponsibility to own such choices and never blame a process for those.

Agile’s process creates a collaborative environment, eliminating the adversarial conditions I frequently found between Development team and Quality Assurance team. Each member agrees on the work, it’s complexity and completion expectation. It made a real positive change in our work relationships.

This enables gradual rollouts, A/B testing, and can be useful for managing risk during deployments. Feature flags also facilitate continuous delivery and allow teams to control the visibility and availability of features for different users or user segments.

Feature Flag is an important technique to plan launching features, changing current workflow, fixing bugs that are not deterring business goals, hence P2+, among other reasons. Conversely, I wouldn't expect them to bring stability which is not one of the goals the technique has. Feature flags are excellent once they have met the "Definition of Done". Whereas the technique allows business to impress or surprise the market with planned launches and, moreover, gives the engineering team the ability to quickly turn it off should any issues happen, the mechanism is not sanctimonious to gaps in the engineering process.

It provides faster developement , and faster automation. But it also adds overhead , to maintain additional state of the flag. It may address lots of concerns in shorter perspective , but it is always better to replace feature flags with generic solutions , which are more scalable from future perspective.

Version Control system plays a very important part in the software development life cycle. It helps to track back to the previous versions in case the need arises. It can also track the features added in each new version which makes the rollback easier and at lesser risk.

What / Why a feature should be developed, and its relative relevance can be adjusted we have an effective VCS in place, which also reduces significant effort if we have to re-develop some features. In my view, DevOps is the backbone for bringing business ideas to life with the right infrastructure, ensuring security, availability, and resilience. DevOps team was somehow set apart from the development process or it was considered just a "phase" in which a hand-off from development to IT would happen. Fortunatelly, leaders have come to realize any development team is a DevOps team from the ideation of a project and, furthermore, any DevOps engineer is part of the SDLC as much. A solid culture must consider a closer collaboration between those teams from the moment AR's (Architecture Reviews) happen. Upfront knowledge of technology, architecture and design not only increase the collaboration but allows specialists to anticipate limitations, cost analysis, security and other aspects before any release happens.

Ensuring each team member takes ownership and responsibility for their contributions is critical to achieving a resilient and secure production environment.

Another thing is to consider Now, Next, Later approach in which you can rollout selected features as per priority to rollout your product faster and in iterative way while you are still planning feature set in Next or Later phase.

This question changes meaning in each section. In a broad sense, it represents right brain vs. left brain. My favourite technique for continuous improvement is Improvent Kata. It's basically PDCA wrapped in context awareness. PDCA is a well established improvement technique that W. Edwards Deming developed from Shewhart Cycle. You can easily vary orientation from Improvement Kata to match your business (e.g. golden thread or Cynefin). Orientation helps you start improvement from where you are (ITIL principle 2). Context awareness can be seen as right brain, and PDCA left brain. For innovating features rapidly there's Lean Startup / Customer Development. Design Thinking is more considered. In chaos there's move, shoot communicate.
