These examples are great, but if you challenge yourself to look beyond the the expected, you can find solutions that you wouldn't normally find. For example, I was out shopping with my son and we saw this cool panel design on the side of a building. We looked at it, explored how it was made and were in awe of its beauty. A few minutes later we walked into a store picked up a shoe and thought to ourselves, "What if that pattern were used in this shoe like this?" This is a simplified example but illustrates the idea of being open to the unexpected.

Let's be honest, we fell in love with design because of our passion for creating not how long it took us to do it. In fact the creative process took us longer in the early days.
