From my experiences I see that collaboration is essential for maintaining a creative mindset, even in IT operation environments. IT operations is often seen as a service area only and "back office", but in reality IT ops often involve complex challenges that require creative mindset and new solutions. During my career I have ever promoted continuous learning for all team members, and then collaboration between teams, so that they can also share that knowledge and expertise towards common objectives. This is key to foster a culture of creativity and innovation. It is important also to promote interactions with vendors, or other consultants, to bring in fresh perspectives and innovative solutions, enhancing creativity within IT operations.
