There is always some thing we learn from every project we manage. When project management done properly the percentage of success is high. As project managers we always ensure the project to be successful. Success is measured when the customer accepts the deliverable and his expectations are met. Project could be considered failure if the customer is not happy with the deliverable. In both the scenario there are lessons learned. Lessons learned could be process centric, people centric and environment centric. Gathering people centric lessons learned is challenging as they think the mistakes are being pointed out, if we build the mindset to look for improvement in ourself that is where we have started embracing failure for future success!

Embracing failure is essential. I always encourage my team to see failures not as defeats but as learning opportunities. We openly discuss what went wrong without assigning blame, focusing instead on what we can learn and how we can improve.

Analyzing setbacks is crucial. I use root cause analysis to dig deep into the issues we faced. By involving the team, we get a comprehensive view of what went wrong and why, ensuring we address all aspects of the failure.

Agreed, learning continuously from setbacks is the only way to make things better than yesterday. We should not shy away from failures, we need to dive deep to understand the why question of the failure,once we identify the why the failure happened, this gives everyone and enlightment towards success

Continuous learning is vital for growth. I motivate my team to engage in regular training and stay current with industry advancements. This not only enhances their skills but also prepares us to handle future challenges more effectively.
