MAKE IT INTERACTIVE Infusing innovation into public speaking training can be done by involving using interactive learning, role plays, and peer reviews. I can tell you from my my experience that these methods make sessions engaging and practical. Interactive exercises build lot of confidence, while role plays simulates real life scenarios. Peer reviews offer constructive feedback and promote continuous improvement. These techniques transform traditional training into dynamic, impactful learning experiences.

In my years speaking to high school students, especially in a small session environment, I have found that interactive learning is ideal. Watching otherwise shy and quite students begin to open up during our time together was proof that engaging and interacting work.

Always create a space to discuss or practice what you are talking about. Ask for input and ideas. Create space to listen in real-time. Remember, the more on-topic discussion you can provide withing the presentation the more content people will remember.

Having ways to chat with others who are learning the skill of public speaking is VITAL! When I first began public speaking, I learned through others, by listening to them, judging them, and having them judge me. This is not a skill that can be done solely in front of a mirror.

Being a storyteller changed my entire life! It opened the world to me because my personal story gives me the platform to speak from experience. There is no greater confidence than that which is cultivated when we speak from a place of deep inner knowing. Always a winning formula!

One thing I've found helpful through story telling the emotional connection through shared experiences. Helps connect with the audience and by just sharing your story helps connect you and your audience. Storytelling is my Jam but there are some pitfalls that can come if it is not used wisely. - Don't be long winded - Be thoughtful about use of metaphors or character development. -Make your message impactful but not overly emotional Storytelling mastery can make a message resonate deeply with everyone present.

Connect with hearts before you connect with minds is the best advice I can give. Find a way to connect people with what they care about and then connect what they care about to your content.

Implementing feedback loops in group is a great way to assess effectiveness. This can initially cause hesitation, but with continuous peer evaluation and self-assessment, it can transform one into a compelling speaker. Constructive feedback fosters growth and showcases the power of supportive critique.

I agree with the power of feedback. Suggestions that are fed to one after their speech or any expression needs to be fed forward into their successive works to do better. It’s very important that feedback is comprehensible for this sake. It shouldn’t just say the what but the why and the how as well, especially with young speakers.

This feels repetative but peak anywhere you can. Speak at a city council meeting, a wedding, a religious gathering, a family reunion. Anywhere you can speak in front of a group will help you find your voice, your cadence, your style. Also, look into various speakers and their styles. Find what resonates with you cause it might just inform your own dynamic voice.
