I am a late-night custodial team lead. I give feedback as often as possible. It can be crucial at times. My team is responsible for cleaning not just the cafeteria but the kitchen as well. We not only clean for food and safety standards but also the standards I have set for my team. I make sure to check up regularly while they are cleaning and afterward as well. The feedback I give is not to criticize but to help them improve. Our work in the area helps ensure the kitchen and catering staff have a clean area to feed hundreds of people or more daily.

Ambition is NOT always synonymous with obsession. Probably explains the little advancement in my own career LOL J/K. But from what I have observed throughout my career is that successful people use ambition to capitalize on certain opportunities, whereas obsessed people just go after everything in their workplace to make an impression. I'm sure there is that natural overlap in the venn diagram (eg. I obsess over efficient processes), but obsession without anything else almost always leads to misery (and I've seen it become costly). Ambition is the juice that keeps fueling the engine that runs creativity and puts out innovative solutions. But ambition does rest from time to time. Obsession will leave you sleep deprived.
