Even I agree with it. The key is to have as minimal as negligible downtime to better facilitate the users. Also, incremental backups are ideal not only for saving the time taken for backup but also for the storage space required. As a programmer I would always prefer using this strategy.

After receiving alerts from the local weather forecast center (where the server is located), it can be scripted to automatically redirect the service requests to the mirror database located in another location. There are many such other processes that can be automated with our without sensors.
