In my view, using cloud computing allows VR apps to handle complex tasks from a distance, which improves graphics and supports real-time multiplayer without any delays. By also integrating 5G networks, we ensure fast and reliable connections for streaming high-quality VR content and seamless online play. This combination enhances VR performance, delivering sharper visuals and smooth interactions that make the experience more enjoyable and immersive for users.

Pokemon GO is a fine example. This category of games is still not fully explored. I suggest to use your imagination, and most available platform like phones to invent new ways of using AR in game. There must be something more that catching little critters on the streets. AR is augmented reality. How about augmenting AR with something new. Like Air Tags or geofencing.

Recently Nvidia launched G-Assist, An RTX powered AI assitant tech. It takes text, voice & image inputs from the player to assit players when they have some issue or need guidance. Earlier players scanned the web for cheat codes, quests, items & whatnot. The game leverages AI vision model & context awareness to suggest actionable responses to a players queries. Based on the games genre, developers can customize G-Assists vision & language models to a specific games features with high level of accuracy. As the AI is context aware, it can personalize its recommendatins to match the players gameplay. The AI can also finetune the players PC to maximize the hardwares performance. AI assitants may become a important feature for large games.

Haptic Feedback and Virtual Reality work very well together. It feels very natural to fire a weapon in a VR game and feel the controller vibrate in your hand. It is important to give options for haptics, as some players may be uncomfortable with the force of the haptic feedback. Especially with PC controller-compatible games, where controllers can vary in terms of the haptic feedback strength. I experienced this first hand with the 8bitdo pro 2 controller. It has very powerful rumble motors, so I had to configure it to a lower strength, else my controller simulates a magnitude 5 earthquake when I ground pound in super mario odyssey! You can never go wrong with giving the player options with these sorts of things, in my opinion.

PCG (Procedural Content Generation) is a technology that takes a small amount of assets and is capable of creating massive amounts of variations at massive scale. You can use it to create items for an inventory system, to create levels with interesting elevation decisions, or ai behaviors that adapt procedurally to its environment or the player, or both. The best cases of PCG execute within a balance of requirements and content to be generated.

Play more games regardless of their popularity from both player and developer perspectives to get new insights. Be open towards experimentation on your ideas. Although not every idea will yield desired results, exploring various concepts often leads to new discoveries. Break down the initial idea into several variations and iterate through the process to develop unique gameplay mechanics.
