Apart from the obvious benefit of weighing in user inputs to the product you imagined, user personas are a good way to build empathy for the user. Try it and you will realise it is always easier to imagine/tweak features for "Alice, graduate, mother of a toddler" than to "User".

In my experience, user analysis is important aspect in deciding how the architecture of application looks like and how it evolves over time. It helps in breaking down problem into smaller components, deciding service responsibilities and data model and its persistence choice. It also helps in deciding what are important factors for building user experience and how user is going to interact.

Remember this is to guide decisions, don’t blindly build what your users request. Users aren’t product experts, but your product should give your users what they want, there is a distinction there.

I agree, UI design should be user friendly, self explanatory and serve the purpose. Another important point to be considered, UI design must be in sync with overall design of the application and easy to maintain from development point of view.

Iterative testing is indicative of the Agile approach to software development. The term I hear often in Marketing Technology (Martech) is using a “test and learn” approach, where you incrementally try new tactics and you fail fast in order to learn as quickly as possible what works and what doesn’t. While this approach is great for software development it does have limitations. No one wants a “test and learn/fail fast” car.

Feedback is critical to understanding the wants and needs of your customer base. Being able to react quickly and effectively to customer feedback is the difference between having a successful product and having to go back to the drawing board. When you’re able incorporate machine learning techniques like sentiment analysis to automate the process. All of the big, public cloud providers offer APIs (Application Programmer Interface) that are straightforward to use and do not require deep machine learning experience.

The feedback loop need to be established as soon as possible. It's one one of the best ways of setting up a value driven or ROI driven environment. Don't be afraid to ask for feedback as soon as you can demonstrate a usable version of whatever you're building. Even harsh feedback can lead you to identify major drawbacks before you invest too much time into it. You can begin with friendly users before opening it to everyone if you're not comfortable with this at first.

To make user-friendly apps, I involve decision-making that focuses on what users need and want. This means gathering feedback, testing designs, and prioritizing features that enhance the user experience.
