In a partnership defining goals cannot be one way, cannot be created in space, and cannot be personnel; It must be WIN-WIN. ??? first key, keep an open mindset: Do your groundwork to explore the information at hand to form the understanding of the problem statement, what does win look like for all parties involved, and what are the current unknowns. ?????? second, proximity and time allotted to deep dive into the partnership objectives: Preferably if possible do this in the same room preferably in person, blocking a large chunk of time, have functional owners participate. ????????? it’s not one and done: As you define goals, timelines, outcomes at every stage, execute with precision and cadence allowing checks, balances and appreciation.
