Once you take the "know-it-all" equation out of the window and listen in to genuine feedback, you can truly discover yourself. Assess yourself and make amends. The guiding principle of any interaction is mutual respect and being your authentic self. Remember, people can see through you and when they actually do, they would love you as a person and a professional.

Take one or two pointers and start applying them till they become second nature and then start inculcating the other bits. Listen actively, take feedback and then start implementing changes slowly.

How many connections you made, or how much engagement you got after an event.? Set targets then benchmark your progress.? But don’t get too caught up in the numbers game. Quality > quantity matters in networking.? At the end of the day, what really counts is how your network helps you grow. So, make it count.

Analyze & Reflect: Identify common themes or repeated suggestions. This can help pinpoint areas that need improvement, such as being more engaging during conversations or improving your listening skills. Set Specific Goals: Set realistic and specific goals for improvement. Eg if the feedback suggests you need to be more approachable, you might set a goal to initiate conversations at networking events actively. Practice & Implement Changes: Networking skills improve with practice. Implement the feedback by consciously adjusting your behavior in real-world networking situations. For instance, if you’ve received feedback about not following up, make it a point to send thank-you emails or messages post-meetings or events.
