As a DBA you tune the performance of databases to get the best possible results. We should also tune our own workload. If you are falling behind deadlines, consistently working into the night, on weekends or starting to make mistakes due to the volume of work then it is time to delegate. Delegating not only frees you up to concentrate on more difficult tasks but also allows junior team members increase their experience and improve their skills. Altogether delegation is a win win scenario which allows a company to operate more efficiently.

Em todos os cenários acima podemos delegar o que muda é o que delegar e para quem delegar. Se está com muitas atividades quais delas podem ser realizadas por alguém mais ágil ou de menor custo? Se tem dificuldade na atividade que está levando mais tempo que o previsto, vale a pena delegar para alguém que fa?a em menos tempo? Se a atividade é simples para seu nível, n?o tem alguém de menor custo para realizar? Seja sincero na sua avalia??o, seja profissional!

N?o que essa entrega já possibilite ele usar o projeto dele, mas é algo que ele identifica que é uma parte importante da entrega. S?o essas atividades que s?o prioridade, e ent?o as atividades que garantem essa entrega maior se tornam prioridade. Quando definimos isso conseguimos dividir melhor a equipe e atribuir responsabilidades de prazos. N?o esque?a do alinhamento com o cliente do que é importante para ele e do alinhamento com o time do que devemos focar.
