Don't stay in your comfort zone. It may be very helpful to task yourself more beyond your current comfortable zone. You could ask to be assigned some tougher tasks. Volunteering to take up bigger responsibilities could serve as a means of receiving feedback in a dynamic environment. Consult textbook, carry out design and submit to your superior for perusal. Definitely your superior would like that you helped with task outside your routine and would be glad to provide guidance in form of feedback on what to do to put your design in shape. In that way, you have learnt something earlier unknown at the end of the design process. Asking for direct feedback on areas you need improvement would help you achieve transcendental growth in no time.

Continuous learning is a necessity for every engineer, and every chance to have an update on industry trends, technologies and procedures is extremely important. Every mean to achieve that is valuable, but for me the MVP are conferences. In fact, beyond the technical knowledge and updates you can acquire, you also have the chance to interact with other professionals and share opinions and ideas. This can broaden your perspective and allow you to innovate or find new solutions to your problems. I would also suggest to not focus solely on industry-specific conferences and workshops,but to find some time to attend "broader" conferences where different industries participate. Some industries' innovations and procedures can be used in others.
