What's missing in the aforementioned list is having a QA mindset. If you have right mindset with right tools(which evolves everyday) you can test any S/W. Testing a software is challaning not because of heterogeneous systems and technologies rather due to the fact that the object under testing is intangible. Hence the first part of mindset development is to develop a vision that can see this intangible object as closely as possible. The lack of it only produces tests that are mere input / output validators. Technology is now widespread and is in hand of kids to kings. So the 2nd facet a SQA has to wear different caps to advocate for different users, and in my experience I found it to be difficult for those who have a limiting mindset.
