It’s also useful to use the Solution Focused approach to reflective practice; reviewing what worked and finding “Root Cause of Success” instead of the typical failures. This exercise is more encouraging and uplifting. Reflective leaders and coaches are generally more self aware.

Disruptive Thinking explores thinking from an entirely different dimension; it involves having the courage and FORESIGHT to try different ideas that may be deemed strange or unexpected, it’s “disruptive”. This mindset is proactive, challenges status quo before being forced to change. Disruptive thinking comes before creative thinking; only when you’re ready to let go of old ideas and ways, then you will explore new and different possibilities. Be a disruptive coach!
