Simply, to be successful at delivering ERP, for a client with a Partner you must have: One - Vision Strategy Plan Team Ethos Culture Goal You must eliminate the "them and us" and work together as one. If there is a review - one If there is an update - one If there is a Team meeting - one If there is a Daily Stand Up - one You get the idea!. Its essier, simpler, reduces noise, makes sure nothing gets missed, and it is simply cheaper and quicker. ONE

Transformation, ERP, business is really about one thing. PEOPLE It always has been and always will be. You really do need collaboration to do this well, and that comes from engaging & enabling people. Making sure they have a voice that is heard, listened to, respected and acted upon. The key is of course, communication.

The Client Vendor relationship can easily become fraught if it isnt led from a perspective of true PARTNERSHIP. Vendors are, like any other company, commercial entities. It is their job to make you spend money. It is our job to ensure it is spent well and wisely. If there is ONE single tip here it is: Get your Scope & Requirements as perfect as possible, leave no gaps, no stone unturned, and most definitely all Black & White - NO GREY. Harsh, but I believe true words. Vendors like grey, wooly, undecided, incomplete. It enables them to provide Consultancy - and everything that entails. At a price which is usually premium and open ended. YOU have to own this, don't let any Vendor.
