While not all coaches have niches, the ones that do and work on mastering their niche often become known in the industry as "the one" - in other words, the go-to for certain topics. This not only elevates your brand but helps you speak directly to your target audience through your marketing and social media presence.

Early in my coaching career, I realized that trying to cover all aspects of life coaching was not only exhausting, but also ineffective. I decided to focus on a specific niche: helping entrepreneurs manage stress and find a balance between their personal and professional lives. This specialization allowed me to delve deeper into the specific problems that entrepreneurs face, offering personalized solutions that resonated much more with my clients. Additionally, it made it easier for me to create marketing content that spoke directly to their needs, which significantly increased my retention rate and attraction of new customers.

I've been able to understand my niche in a unique way because much of what my client is going through at the current time, I experienced myself in one shape or form in the past. The cumulative experience, lessons, and practical support, mentorship, and coaching has defined how my coaching can help women. Coaching does not have to last forever and sometimes it can be in a season or period of time. Building habits and mindset work is a life-long process that takes commitment and resilience. It usually begins with those who share similar life experiences to us. For me, being an immigrant and a member of the LGBTQ+ community, it was clear from the beginning that I’m here to support people who are on a similar journey. Your goal is to identify the people your heart is calling you to serve.

When I originally started coaching I considered myself a "general" life coach and as much as I loved speaking to a variety of topics, the fact is it wasn't helping me establish my brand or giving clients any idea as to why I was more relevant or for that matter, any different, than other coaches. By establishing a niche you can show your clients how (and why) working with you help them establish the transformation they're seeking more quickly and effectively.

By tailoring my marketing message to the specific concerns of my niche, I was able to attract more qualified customers and build stronger relationships from the start.

Client retention is crucial for building a successful practice, but I totally get that there comes a time when clients move on to new chapters in their lives. When a past client refers someone to me, it’s incredibly valuable for growing my client base—there’s nothing better than a recommendation from someone who’s experienced the work firsthand. To keep our connection strong, I also offer previous clients a discount to my wellness retreats. It’s a way to continue supporting their journey and maintaining the integrity of our relationship, even after our formal coaching sessions have ended.
