It's always worth meeting people in the space! For example by going to conferences such as GDC or AWE which will help find people looking for freelancers. AR is still early and not many people have the skills to build projects in AR, so if you do it's actually super useful!

For AR specifically there's a ton of value in trusting your gut feeling to see where the future is going because it's still early days. I'm currently working on applying AR in construction and I can say that there is a ton of potential here. Try to see which industries you think can benefit from AR, and build projects there!
