I believe in understanding each student's current level, identifying gaps, and engaging them to ensure they stay at grade level. My approach utilizes multisensory math techniques, fostering deep comprehension and lasting results.

How to get a job and stay in that job permanently is to read, understand, explain and apply. When one work is finished, another work must be started.

My top tip is to encourage my students to seek part-time work as therapy assistants in their potential future workplaces. This ensures they are directly connected to current practice, are involved in their future work and are making contact with potential employers.

I often employ tasks that challenge students and help them find new perspectives. For example, I use role-play tasks or debates where students need to convey a perspective as if it were their own. ????? When it comes to future skills and jobs that don't yet exist, such as an AI Ethics Consultant, I design activities that focus on morality and responsibility in society. ???? To equip students for the job of tomorrow, you need to first teach them tech literacy. This is because being tech savvy is a plus point in most jobs these days. You could teach them basics of coding, SEO or how to use the latest devices. This is so that they would be able to use these skills in their jobs next time. You could also familiarize them with video conferencing, using multimedia elements in their work and any other tech tools. This is because they would gave to use it in their job.

I use various platforms, such as Mentimeter, where students need to use their smartphones or laptops. ???? I conduct writing workshops where they use their laptops, and we practice peer-reviewing using collaboration platforms like Padlet. ???? For substitution classes, I use video conferencing, and I encourage students to use tools like PPT and Prezi for their oral presentations. ???? In my classes, such as political science, sustainability, and globalization and governance, it can be challenging to implement coding. However, I am considering ways to incorporate it. ?? By integrating technology into my teaching, I ensure that students are not just passive consumers but also competent users and creators. ????

Google search is the 1st thing everyone does when they want an answer, but I argue that this habit creates passive consumers that decreases "research" to the top two links. Being able to learn about any topic from a search bar requires more than plugging the question. Learning how to identify the credibility of online media and how to find results with adaptable search techniques are two tech literacy skills that all teachers, regardless of content discipline, need to practice regularly in our classrooms! Critical thinking is essential for problem solving in any field . Situations or events that that challenge one’s ability to understand then we critically assess and come up with a plan or strategy. I highly encourage new staff to take a step forward and develop their critical thinking skills.

Afraid of dealing with real life problems? Critical thinking has got your back! Many of my learners lack this skill. It's not like that everything has it since birth, this skills can be learnt. I would recommend all the learners to develop this skills by dealing with challenges in practical life, working in team as this also calls for hurdles and tracking your goals, achievement and progess. Collectively, these contribute towards your mental ability..to think beyond the horizon and solve issues real quick.

I teach several subjects, and in my teaching of political education, I apply the Beutelsbach Consensus, which was developed in 1976 at a German conference. In accordance with the consensus, controversial subjects must be discussed controversially. ??? This framework ensures that the teacher does not indoctrinate the student and leaves room for the development of independent thinking, especially within political education. ?? I foster critical thinking by providing readings that analyze perspectives from multiple points of view. ?? Additionally, we organize Oxford debates, where points are constantly exchanged and challenged. ?????

Another thing that I have found helpful in developing critical thinking besides assigning real world problems to students is using inquiry based methods to deliver most of your lessons while minimizing direct instructions. Inquiry based instructions are student centered. They are most times more engaging and fun to students. This method of teaching allows students to explore their natural curiosity, think freely, and at the same time reach the lesson goals themselves. Having students develope open-ended questions and solutions which are tied to content real-world problems enhances critical thinking as well.

You also need to teach them soft skills in order to be able to be well-prepared for tomorrow's job market. This is because everyone needs to be an all-rounder in order to be able to succeed in their career. You need to teach them skills like communication skills, empathy, teamwork spirit, willingness to listen to feedback and anything else that helps form their character. You could also teach them problem solving skills and how to be independent. This is so that they can survive in the competitive job market.

Something that we must not compromise with is soft skills. Soft skills must be possessed by all irrespective of their profession or domain. Like jus imagine you are a CEO of a reputed company but you do not know how to talk politely with your employees... Who you stick around you? Not many! On the other hand if you possess social etiquettes, good manner, contain a sweet tongue and handle problems and situations like a pro, then you would be valued and people would stick around you. Mannerism is everything!

Use learning teams with a specific role for each—1. guide reading the text, 2. lead discussion and response to questions, 3. Identify what is important and valuable regarding the issues, 4. Decide what team members will report to the class, 5. Lead presentation of report making sure that each team member gives part of the presentation. Have clear criteria for team work. For example, the team is responsible to make sure each member has the accurate information, has the best answer for each question, and participates in all the steps of the process.

I incorporate peer reviews, constant group activities, and various work formats, such as stakeholder discussions, to promote communication, teamwork, emotional intelligence, and the ability to speak in public. ????? This is a skill that can be improved gradually. ?? However, I also strive to balance the focus on soft skills by encouraging those with fewer soft skills to participate more in written assignments. ?? Diversity lies in accepting the strengths and weaknesses of students while guiding them in improving their weaknesses and finding confidence in what they do best. ???? By fostering these soft skills, we prepare students to work well with others and adapt to various workplace cultures. ????

Developing soft skills really depends on the mentor of study, so I do my best in my ELA classroom to find and adapt resources of contemporary rhetoric that personally align with my vision of empathetic, effective collaborators. For example, if I want to teach my students how to participate in interviews, we analyze episodes of "The Problem with Jon Stewart" podcast to learn how to ask questions that demonstrate active listening before practicing with their peers. If I want my students to learn how to effectively communicate in groups, we watch tiktoks that poke fun at common group mistakes and brainstorm how to navigate. One of my my favorite soft skill channels I use to guide content and concrete practices is Charisma on Command!

The future job market is challenging and dynamic due to new technologies. To equip students for the jobs of tomorrow, you should encourage them to continue their learning and acquire new skills. There are lots of ways to learn and grow, for example, pursue online courses, attend workshops or webinars, attend professional or industry conferences, etc. With online courses, you can study at your own pace and convenience. You can also attend education workshops/webinars to learn new teaching methodologies and new technologies from industry experts.

You need to encourage them to embrace lifelong learning. This is because there are always new things to be learnt everday throughout their career. You should encourage them to learn more about things in their field of work. This is so that they can have a high amount of expertise in their field. You could also encourage them to gain knowledge even if if it's not related to their field of work. This is because they could use these knowledge in their line of work.

I instill a desire to learn by openly acknowledging my own mistakes and emphasizing that professors are human beings who also need to constantly learn. I often mention that I am finishing my Ph.D. and have supervisors myself. This shows students that learning is a lifelong cycle and doesn't end with graduation. Many people mistakenly believe that they no longer need to learn once they leave school. Even senior professionals should never lose curiosity or the desire to learn. I encourage my students to follow this mindset by allowing independent studies and conducting workshops. By sharing my own learning journey and providing resources and opportunities for exploration, I aim to show students that education is a lifelong journey.

Learning is forever. We are all students forever. Embrace it and it will open your mind to endless possibilities. The journey is as important as the destination.

I usually start my classes with a global perspective. ?? If I teach sustainability, I show students how the world might look in 2100 without climate policies, such as sunken islands, water scarcity, and global migration. ???? When teaching about the European Union, I present how the Russian war of aggression signifies a shift in the global world order and how Russia has changed the international system permanently within two years. ????? I explain how the Cold War developed globally and that European integration today is a product of those events. By understanding the bigger context, students become more engaged and serious about our discussions. In later stages, they are more open to discussing topics that might seem drier initially.

I encourage students to understand that their studies are more than mere grades. ?? They come here to be assessed and to develop academic and professional skills that will be useful in the future. Their future jobs need them to be great in the present, even if it sometimes seems that education is something that can be done as a side task. It is a great opportunity to develop as a human being and a professional, yet I see students wasting their precious time. Many students study something and then work in completely unrelated fields. Sometimes they do side jobs to earn some money, and their grades drop. I try to remind them that studies are a golden time for development. Take full advantage of this opportunity. It makes a difference. ?

-Guide on the adequate & relevant required jobs alongside their respective mandates – avoid sugarcoating; their careers are on the line. -Incite them to be always up-to-date particularly vis-à-vis latest ed tech & their respective majors -Advise on critical soft skills (i.e. communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, time management, EI, Networking, Leadership management to name a few) -Emphasize critical thinking attributes -Introduce real-life case scenarios -Promote continuous lifelong learning – enable them to look outside just their disciplines & majors. The vast majority of people do NOT work within their fields. -Let them embrace two main traits: Adjustability & Receptivity Strategize, Communicate & Lead ???

I encourage young students to begin understanding the basics of AI as it is more integrated into public education. It’s important to understand its ethical and unethical practices. The easiest AI model to understand for students would be the large language models such as ChatGPT that use reinforcement training sets.
