Honestly, just look up tutorials that you need. Sure, knowing the basics will make it all easier, but learning by doing has been my go to. Of course, looking back on old projects will make you think "Gods, I can do it much better now", and that's good. Then you know you've improved. So, Google and YouTube is your friend. Look up what you need and if there were tutorials for that. Chances are, there are enough tutorials already.

I didn't know a lot about motion design and After Effects, but the course by Phil Ebiner on Udemy was super cheap and really useful for teaching the basics. I found it really easy to pick up as there's a lot that carries over from Premiere Pro too.

Al inicio será tedioso porque existen muchas técnicas, combinaciones y botones, por lo que sugiero llevar un curso virtual, por ejemplo los de Doméstika Basics, donde el aprendizaje y la complejidad es gradual y secuencial; y revisar tutoriales de Youtube. Luego de tener una base, recomiendo que realices proyectos audiovisuales personales, donde pondrás a prueba todos tus conocimientos; y al hacer algo que te gusta, estarás motivado y tendrás la disciplina para continuarlo, aprender conceptos en el camino (composición, chroma, etc.) y terminar tu proyecto. La satisfacción es única.

Como todo en la vida, la única forma de aprender y ser experto en un tema, es practicando y estudiando constantemente. Estoy seguro de que tienes un par de ideas, por lo que te sugiero que realices un peque?o storyboard: un par de recuadros con dibujos y anotaciones, para así tener más claro lo que quieres hacer. Ahora bien, esta idea debe incluir tus conocimientos actuales y los conocimientos que deseas aprender, pues de esta forma te motivarás y consultarás tutoriales en caso de no saberlo, digamos que además tendrás una peque?a “obligación” por aprender. Es ideal que le dediques al menos unas dos horas al día a tu proyecto, y así formar un hábito semanal. De esta forma estarás practicando y cada mes verás una evolución en tus trabajos.

Te sugiero que busques en Google los nombres de los programas de edición de video y efectos especiales, y así puedas comparar las virtudes y beneficios que ofrecen. Sin embargo, toma en cuenta que si vas a trabajar de esto, las empresas piden que manejes determinados softwares, siendo Premiere y After Effects los más comunes. Es por ello que considero que debes iniciar este camino aprendiendo ambos programas, pues se pueden hacer cosas increíbles con ambos. Ya cuando tengas la experiencia, vas agregando otros programas a tu cartera de conocimientos. Puedes darle la oportunidad a Adobe Animate si te gusta la animación o algún software de 3D como Cinema 4D, que complementa muy bien al After Effects.

Sea cual sea el caso, es necesario tener comentarios, y si en algún momento son negativos, no te desanimes. Primero evalúalo y reconoce si es válido, y si lo es y lo puedes corregir ahora, estaría genial; si no para la próxima ya sabes qué tienes que hacer.
