As an executive: ??I will focus on truly understanding others by engaging fully in conversations and asking clarifying questions. ??I will use narratives to convey messages effectively. ??Incorporate charts, graphs, or slides in presentations to reinforce my message as a picture will convey a 1000 words. ??Frame feedback positively, highlighting strengths before discussing areas for improvement. ??Share organizational goals and challenges openly to build trust and encourage collaboration within my team.

By prioritizing mentorship and a data-driven coaching approach, I enhance my leadership communication and empower my team to express analyses effectively. This ongoing learning process deepens my understanding of individual styles of communication, leading to more impactful communication as an executive leader. Ultimately, a commitment to mentorship and effective communication builds a cohesive, high-performing team.

Focus on your listening skills first - don't wait to speak next, really pay attention to what you are hearing. Also, cultivate an environment that is open to all kinds of communication: positive and negative feedback, mentoring, problem solving. Always give credit where credit is due - don't take credit youself for what your team members have done. Finally, we don't get to hear "thank you" enough! It's so easy to say and it means the world.

I make a conscious effort to truly listen to my team, stakeholders, and peers. By focusing on understanding their viewpoints, I can respond more effectively and foster collaboration.

Active Listening is an important trait of an executive as listening is considered the mark of a good conversation/interaction with the speakers. Hence, it is essential to listen patiently and with 100% attention to the speaker(s). Paying attention to the unsaid words/non-verbal cues of speakers is also a part of the active listening process. Also, it is required to empathize with the stakeholder during the entire listening process and show signs of acknowledgment using appropriate body language gestures, ask clarifying questions, and/or provide responses during the interaction, as applicable. That way, the speaker would feel heard and respected, leading to better trust, collaboration, and an open atmosphere.

Best practices for clear communication include: Use Bullets: Break down information into bullet points for easy readability. Short Sentences: Keep sentences concise to ensure quick understanding. Simple Words: Avoid jargon and complex terms; choose words that are easy to grasp. Logical Structure: Organize thoughts in a clear, logical sequence. Active Voice: Use active voice to make the message direct and actionable. By following these principles, you can ensure that your message is easily understood and acted upon.

I ensure my communication is direct, concise, and aligned with the broader vision. Simplifying complex ideas helps ensure everyone is on the same page, regardless of their level of expertise.

To be a better communicator, it is required to be aware of the emotions of self & others. Pillars of EI 1. Self-awareness:- Understanding one's own emotions, & how they influence behaviors helps to improve work collaboration. 2. Self-regulation:- Managing one's own emotions, & coping with stress. 3. Motivation:- Involves setting goals, staying motivated, & direct energy towards goals. It is useful to build leadership & inspire others. 4. Empathy:- Helps to understand & share the feelings of others. It aids in taking other's views by being in their shoes. 5. Social skills:- It helps to build business relations, communicate, & resolve conflicts. Thus, the pillars foster collaboration, credibility, respect, & better leadership.

Regular feedback from your executives shows that they made time to adress a matter or solve a problem. It also don't have to be a problem or issue but just checking in to give feedback on what is going on in business,have a quick lunch or book a coffee,make it casual.This habit of giving feedback will make employees feel valued and forster inclusion in any good news or future planning happening in the organisation.This will bring forward employees that are more invested in the organisation.

I encourage open and constructive feedback, both receiving and giving it. By doing so, I create a culture of continuous improvement and transparency in the organization.

A transparent and open culture facilitates mutual trust, collaboration, and feedback and provides opportunities for adaptability and continuous improvement. By engaging with all stakeholders and soliciting periodical feedback on communication style, it is possible to gauge the views of others and incorporate them for improvement. A better way to handle reviews/feedback is to take them constructively and improve progressively. Bi-directional communication improves collaboration skills and provides a basis for shared responsibility / vision thereby aiming towards the success at the organization level.

I view communication as a skill that requires ongoing refinement. Regular practice, whether in meetings, presentations, or informal interactions, helps me stay sharp and adaptable.

Any acquired skill requires application with consistent practice. Proactively, chances can be taken to show involvement & contribute in meetings, and presentations. Also, any opportunities can be leveraged towards thought leadership articles/newsletters/whitepapers/ blogs, etc. Through regular introspection of contributions & by taking regular feedback from a mentor / leadership coach, it is possible to excel in skills. They can add value through their guidance and provide timely instructions for leadership communication and development. As we know regular practice makes any acquired skill to be perfect. With more commitment shown to the practice of leadership communication, the more effective & efficient the leadership trait is built.

Honesty and Integrity are two facets of good communication and so any communication style that adheres to these would be authentic and establish personal branding on leadership. Regardless of the communication mode/channel (an involvement in a Conference Lecture/Open Hall Talk/Email Promotion/Social Media Post), a communication message should reflect the same core values and leadership philosophy/style so as to enable the building of a powerful personal brand. Then, the leadership brand provides enough drive or motivation, mentoring, and loyalty to stakeholders, teams, etc. thereby resulting in a more influential leadership in action.
