I love the approach of a detective suggested here, in-fact I’d go one step ahead and say, think like the hiring manager who is looking to hire this role. You’re essentially reverse-engineering the process. By adopting the perspective of the hiring manager, you not only align yourself more closely with the company’s needs but also set yourself apart as a candidate who truly understands the essence of the role.

Advice on building confidence in your gut decisions... I regularly reflect on past decisions where I trusted my intuition. I write down what was the outcome, and what I learn't from it. Over time you will build up a portfolio of reflections and lessons learnt. It really helps to be more confident in my intuition and understand by biases. More often than not, my gut feeling does a great job.
