About 10 years ago I bought the book "The Algorithm Design Manual" by Steven Skiena. A lot of the content was rather unapproachable as I am was working on my skills in mathematics. A precursor to algorithms are recurrence relations (in mathematics). Stanford University offer introductory to advanced courses in algorithms both via edX and Coursera. I have since learnt some algorithms such as Binary Search, Merge Sort and Dijkstra's Algorithm and more. I have not yet taken the courses I mentioned hosted on edX and Coursera but by using ChatGPT one may obtain an outline of how many algorithms work and if you ask — it is possible to demand worked examples for each algorithm. This allows you to see what's going on "under the hood".

Hackerrank is an excellent platform for this. Especially, its "Cracking the Coding Interview" training is a great way to prepare for technical interviews and enhance your coding skills. The challenges on these platforms are often more difficult than many real-life problems. If you can solve them quickly, you'll find real-life challenges much easier to handle.

Regularly participate in coding challenges and competitions. These platforms provide a wide range of problems that can help you improve your problem-solving skills.
