VR collaboration tools like Meta workrooms, Glue, Arthur, FrameVR and now Micorosoft Mesh provide a great way to be together when the team are not co-located. Moreover these platforms offer a variety of collaboration tools that are often not available in physical office spaces such as large whiteboards, 3d sketching tools, the ability to share multiple screens and images. Overcoming the initial friction of wearing a headset will be the main challenge for most teams so invest in good headstraps (bobovr) and use games or other fun apps to distract your noob users from the comfort issues till they are used to wearing it. Each of the aforementioned apps has its pros and cons, do PoC or trails to figure out what best suits your needs.

There's a few ways that we communicate differently in VR than video calls 1) you're not looking at yourself or 23 other open tabs, you actually engage with your team and with the content in front of you. Leading to more participation. 2) when each team member places their ideas into 3D space it's empowering. Each stakeholder feels heard and that their ideas were taken seriously. Mindset shifts from "pick my idea" to "let's pick the best idea" 3) not limited by physics, you can manipulate the positioning and size of objects to communicate differently. i.e. in Arthur you're able to turn PDFs into 3D interactive presentations OR for an industrial company you can bring in large scale parts that would never fit into a conference room.
