As cliche as it may sound but it is true in all aspects that experience is the best teacher. Being exposed to actual practice of whatever skill you are developing is they key to being better at it. Same goes for problem solving. The more problems you are exposed and have solved, you become better at it. But, let's not set aside the fact that when you receive a feedback, you learn more on what went well or what went wrong. Feedback mechanisms enable the iteration for us to become better at the skill or work that we are doing. I don't know if it is just me when I am younger, but I am afraid of feedbacks.
