For example, if you're searching for a specific meme, typing out a detailed description might not yield the desired results (this has happened to me). However, uploading a part of the meme or even a rough sketch can lead the search engine to exactly what you're looking for. A widely used and practical application of this is image-based translation. If you need to translate a Chinese script but don't understand Chinese characters, it would be nearly impossible to type the script into a search engine. In such cases, taking a photo of the text and using an image-based translation tool is often the only viable solution.
