Here's how you can enhance communication and collaboration with your team members as a remote worker.

Use tech to have the right balance between asynch and sycnhronous communication. Try and restrict the need for more synch meetings via Zoom or Gmeet via a good documentation and clear set up of objectives and tasks, together with the right level of expectations in terms of RACI (responsible, accountable, consulted, informed)

Cadence is very important, create and maintain cadence. we need to have routine communication, scheduled. Beside that we also need to have another touchpoint with them, use various comm channel (whatsapp, direct call, video meeting, until offline visit if neccessary)

*Proactively provide updates, ask questions, and share information frequently through the various tools. *Use video calls for important meetings and one-on-one check-ins. *Set communication expectations to determine the best modes for different communication needs. *Make yourself available by setting consistent working hours and leverage team presence indicators. *Build rapport through intentional conversations and check-ins. *Use collaboration tools like shared documents, virtual whiteboards, and screen sharing. *Document processes such as guides and FAQs about workflows, responsibilities and protocols so everybody is on the same page. *Periodically schedule informal virtual hangouts, games or activities to maintain team bonding.

This will require intentional effort. Prioritize clear and consistent communication by establishing regular check-ins, team meetings, and one-on-one sessions to discuss progress, share updates, and address any challenges or concerns. Although working remotely you still want to be present. Utilize video conferencing to get some face-to-face when possible this will foster a sense of connection believe it or not. Use collaboration tools and project management software that is user friendly to allow for instant messaging and shared document repositories to streamline communication, organize tasks, and facilitate real-time collaboration on projects. Encourage open communication and actively listen to team members' input.

These tools help you to communicate by chat and video conferencing also share files between the team members. - Collaboration and management tools: like Jira, Asana, Trello and Clickup. These tools help you to convert project to small milestones and small pieces in addition to majro progress of work. - Specialist tools: IDEs, Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch ...etc These tools help you to create and share your work with many features to speed up productivity.

Scheduling meetings should consider couple of points specially when team across multiple timezones. It's important to invite only keyholders of meeting, avoid booking with conflict time for other meetings. Specify reasonable space of time for meeting not very long and also not too short.

Clarity will help you to move in the right direction - Let everyone understand each other points - Summarize your point at the end so that no one can miss anything - Make everyone comfortable to ask doubts - Define your agenda before meeting

the important of clear communications has increase in the tech era, especially chat communication, we need to do it as clear as possible without opening room for mis-interpretation. in offline communication, we can sense expression, body language, to minimise miss-interpretation but on chat communications, and/or online meeting, we can not user that expression like offline meeting

The clarity communication plays important point of your soft skills. In your daily activity as wroking remotly you will write emails, send chat messages and ask questions. Make sure to have short, meaningful and easy to understand sentences. Explain more when team need that. Add to your writing evidence like snapshots or short videos.

Take time to write good weekly/monthly email updates to your peers & leadership. Be concise and to the point about what the current status is and what comes next. These will help your team & leadership understand what you are working on and how they can support you.

Conversations build great strategies and serve as a pathway for a functional environment too. It is extremely beneficial for one, being a leader or a team member, to be the person to take initiatives of arranging team activities remotely. Plus, in the world where people enjoy working remotely, we also have a percentage of population who does struggle with emptiness due to some or the other reason. Engaging in conversations can help people clear their minds and experience harmony at work! To add a personal touch to the conversation, one should try having a video conference instead of an audio call whenever possible to ensure that the person feels heard and understood alongside!!

One time at work, I felt incredibly disconnected from my colleagues and the tasks I was supposed to work on. I took some time to reflect on the negative feelings.
