Here's how you can engage and motivate students by harnessing adaptability.

Usually, I try to engage my students by providing relevant examples of the topic from their surroundings, involving them in interactions and conversations, and allowing their opinions on the issues.

The ability to adapt is crucial in today’s dynamic educational landscape. I regularly update my teaching methods to include the latest educational research and trends. Embracing change keeps my lessons fresh and relevant, helping students stay engaged.

Uma dos métodos que envolve "abra?ar a mudan?a" sobre o qual aprendi bastante desde que o descobri e utilizo constantemente em minhas disciplinas é o Design Thinking. Exercer empatia e estar num ciclo iterativo entre imergir no problema dos usuários envolvidos, idealizar melhores solu??es e testá-las fez toda a diferen?a para mim desde a primeira vez que utilizei o método como, por exemplo, auxiliar na adapta??o dos roteiros de aula, que se tornaram bem mais dinamicos e eficazes.

Alvin Toffler dijo: “Los analfabetos del siglo XXI no serán aquellos que no sepan leer, o escribir, sino aquellos que no puedan aprender, desaprender y reaprender” y esto concierne principalmente a los docentes. No estamos simplemente llenando de conocimientos a nuestros estudiantes. Estamos invitándoles a generar descubrimientos, análisis, reflexiones y a conceptualizar por sí mismos. La mejor manera de lograrlo es a través de nuestro propio ejemplo.

I really agree with this because without change all we do will become just routine and plain boring. Learning about new educational technologies, integrating them into lessons and showing students their benefits can bring about continuous improvement in class. Using different approaches to meet individual students needs can prove very effective and boost your students' confidence to explore more and be productive learners. It also brings respect between your students and yourself, when they see you are able to adapt new strategies to help them in their learning. This can also become fundamental to the teacher where you are able to fit in any environment you find yourself in because you have a positive mindset and embrace growth.

A etapa de imers?o do Design Thinking trata exatamente sobre isso: buscar entender melhor o usuário (aluno, no caso do contexto educacional) e suas dores. Em seguida, as adapta??es tendem a melhores resultados. Mesmo em casos onde se tem muitos alunos, uma análise tentando mapear as personas e um mapa de empatia podem ser úteis para gerar o mínimo de adaptabilidade.

Uno de los errores más grandes de los docentes es utilizar su estilo de aprendizaje como su estilo de ense?anza. No nos detenemos a pensar en que nuestro estilo de aprendizaje (que por lo general forja nuestro estilo de ense?anza) quizá no sea el mismo que el de nuestros estudiantes. Hacer este ejercicio es un buen principio para modelar un estilo inclusivo de ense?anza enfocado en las personas con las que estamos trabajando. Cada persona aprende de manera diferente. Nuestros grupos estarán conformados por estudiantes con distintos estilos de aprendizaje: kinestésico, visual, verbal o auditivo. Por lo tanto, nuestros métodos de ense?anza deben considerar las necesidades de cada uno de ellos.

Knowing your students is essential to creating an atmosphere of success. Being three weeks from starting a new school year, I have already studied the names of my new students. How many boys/girls are in each class. Do I see any past siblings? Do I know how to pronounce the names? My routine for every day of every school year is to greet my students as they enter my classroom. This allows me to assess the faces of the future… Are they happy? Sad? Troubled? Carefree? What can I do to support them? These observations compel me to compliment students or encourage them. It communicates they are cared for and understood.

This brings to mind differentiated instruction. This is where you assess, study, interact with your students and get to know their weaknesses and strengths which will help you tailor your teaching to meet their diverse needs using a variety of instructional strategies.

Mesmo assim, na prática, professores sabem que, dentro do espa?o de sala de aula, possuem liberdade para testar o quanto for necessário, desde que o objetivo seja a melhoria da qualidade do ensino. Minha sugest?o, nesse caso, continua sendo a aplica??o de Design Thinking para o planejamento, mesmo que ele precise ser "teoricamente estático".

?Recuerdo (con mucha vergüenza) los a?os en que planificaba mis clases en función a los contenidos! Abrumaba a mis estudiantes con mis métodos y herramientas cuidadosamente preparados, hablaba sin parar y agotaba todos los temas programados para ese día. Al final, salía del salón sintiéndome bien conmigo misma por haber logrado los objetivos. Sin embargo, ?Qué de todo eso aprovecharon los estudiantes? Los a?os me han ense?ado a ser flexible y planificar en función del estudiante. ?Celebro cada vez que mis estudiantes toman el protagonismo de la clase, participando, haciendo preguntas, reflexionando, discutiendo diferentes puntos de vista y teniendo sus propios momentos "Eureka"!

One thing I found helpful in this is, if you make room for adjustments in your planned lesson, sometimes certain activities can take place to make the lesson more interactive and productive and sometimes they can also drag the lesson and objectives will not be met fully. My opinion is to be strategic about leaving room for adjustments and being quick to cut in or get back on track if the hint of deviation is detected.

Quanto mais situa??es que possam ser comparadas ao que já foi vivido pelos estudantes, mais familiarizados com o tema/assunto eles se sentem. Ent?o, em situa??es que nunca foram vividas, utilizar tecnologias que permitam testar coisas desconhecidas s?o extremamente válidas. No meu caso, gosto de inserir Realidade Virtual nas disciplinas. Nos ambientes virtuais, tudo é possível e podemos fazer qualquer coisa e chegar a qualquer lugar.

This is very true, for example, in the case where students are grouped or paired up to complete assignments and projects. They interact more and sometimes bring out unique ideas that you as a teacher did not even think about. This also gives the opportunity for the teacher to use some students with unique ideas as facilitators in the class for certain lessons which makes the lesson more fun and interactive because they question and debate each other to arrive at a conclusion which will be backed by the teacher if right or wrong.

Providing regular, constructive feedback helps students understand their progress and areas for improvement. I incorporate various feedback methods, such as peer reviews, self-assessments, and one-on-one meetings, to keep students motivated and on track.

I totally agree with this, because every person one way or the other likes to receive praise or recognition for what he or she does. It is very important to always give constructive feedback to your students so that they know the level they are at and how to improve or add up to attain progress or higher levels from where they previously find themselves. This builds a bond between you and your students when you encourage them and cheer them on to do better and attain more in their learning journey. The more you practice and get to know your students, the more you devise other helpful strategies as feedback for them.

These strategies have worked for me; 1. Tailor lessons to meet the individual needs and interests of students. 2 Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles. 3. Provide timely and constructive feedback. Adapt your feedback based on each student’s progress and learning style to help them improve continuously. 4. Make lessons relevant by connecting them to real-world scenarios and problems. 5. Utilize educational technology to create interactive and engaging learning experiences. 6. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe and respected. All these have shown improvement in my students. They work colleagues
