Degrees look good on a resume but I agree with my peers- in no way does it allow you to skip the on ground learnings, which no film school can teach you. one can always join networking groups to learn more about distribution, opportunities etc. Why spend precious time behind closed doors when you can get your hands dirty and learn while on the job?if one is truly passionate about films, they find a way irrespective of their degrees . That isn't to say it isn't useful for developing or deepening your personal knowledge, critical frameworks, perspectives, etc. The knowledge may be valuable to you (but that's for you to determine). The credential, if you're looking to work in the industry, is not. You'll get further with an Electrician's cert.
