Setting time-line for Project is a critical task. Project consists of many activities. Some activities to be outsourced as owner may not have any exposure. In such cases, owner has to explore market to establish the time-line from probable vendors. All activities to be positioned on project network based on their manufacturing, erection & commissioning time-line and to establish critical path. Same to be tendered and negotiations held with vendor considered for project attributes. Sub-vendors of vendor also to be invited to negotiate to finalize project schedule. An outside agency are in better positioned to monitor the cost and time-line during project execution to raises alarm for any discrepancy and to take corrective action.
