If a presentation has not been as effective as it should have been, the presenter would know it by audience reaction. First step is to stay calm and understand what went wrong. Sometimes things are not in our hands, such as may be you were not informed about something. The good news is that most of the times they are, but you have to make them work. Ask yourself had you given your best and put in your best efforts, if yes learn from what went wrong and carry on. Try to figure out if similar situation arises again, how it can be handled so that your presentation is not affected negatively. Continous learning and practice is the best teacher.
