Prepping before you give someone feedback is quite underrated. If you don't gather your thoughts before going to people, you might end up saying the wrong thing or forgetting the good thing that you wanted to point out. So jot them down, divide them into "the good", "the bad", "the solution" and this can help you not to waffle on it as well (been guilty of that!)

Instead of just point out what went wrong, try to offer them solutions for how they can improve. This can go both ways on their presentation slides and their presentation. It's always good to follow this formula where you: 1. Ask them how they think it went 2. Point out the positives 3. Give them constructive criticism + solutions => I think X should be Y and you can do this by doing Z Don't just leave them by themselves with all the wrongs, give them some ideas to improve as well!

The best way to provide feedback I learned, and still practice to this day, is to ask how the presenter thought it went first. This gives them an opportunity to build their self-evaluation skills. Plus it helps to identify how aligned you are with what you observed. Similar to above, it is good practice to ensure the self-assessment start with positives. It is too easy in self-assessments to start with negatives. Get them thinking about the successes first.
