Keep the gocus on the process and not the personalities. Data drives everything and if you focus on roles, process, and procedures vs. names you can work through the DMAIC, LinkedIn has an excellent learning path for green belt that goes through Pareto, DMAIC, Ishikawa, and Kaizen for not only finding faults but resolving them. The teams I have been in or led have used these fundamentals for over 15 yrs in successfully resolving issues with manufacturing and product faults.
