A great thing to start with are some simple assessments or quizes to help get a understanding of the landscape. Use psychometrics like the enneagram test or it can be as simple as the myers briggs. Get an expert in and help you to tease apart the results to get a feel everyone. These are great to open the conversation, but don't use it as a definitive measure. Be social. It starts by being created by the leader who onboard the team members to the Trust platform. Nurturing Trust requires tremendous efforts knowing that is Trust is repetitively eroded it is overridden by resentment.

You can't instill Trust in a work environment if you keep on giving instructions and fixing people and things around. There is a risk when you encourage a team member to own a particular task independently yet the risk is smaller than asking them to execute all the time. Ownership on the other hand doesn't mean that the team can't seek support or feedback, it just means that you are empowering them and trusting them so that eventually they would add an incremental value.
