In my experience, the internship genuine project opens the door to real engineer career opportunities and serves as a bridge between theoretical college education and actual engineering practices.

Why are we still talking about the need for practice as a necessary step to build the learning curve? We need to start teaching the Aristotelean philosophy from elementary school, to make all people realize that WE LEARN BY DOING!!! The internship provides an opportunity for young engineers to consolidate their theoretical knowledge and obtain confidence in doing things!!!

Working on a real project is not always about sitting in the office; it often involves visiting the customer's site. From my experience, this is an inevitable part of the engineering process. Being on-site provides additional perspectives on the project, which can significantly reduce the number of small mistakes that might otherwise be overlooked.

As an electrical engineering intern, you can hone your technical skills by getting practical experience, shadowing seasoned engineers, participating in training courses, networking with industry leaders, looking for mentorship, and taking the initiative to take on difficult projects. Make use of internet resources for additional education.

Working with a diverse group of people exposes you to different perspectives and approaches to problem-solving. Engage actively with your team, share ideas, and learn from others’ experiences. Collaborative projects often present unique challenges that require collective brainstorming and innovative solutions. Team work is vital and learning to navigate the exchange and sharing of technical ideas and plans takes practice just like any other skill. I recommend using every team interaction to perform a self assessment of some kind to drive continuous growth. Such as: how well did I understand the problem we were trying to solve? How well did I get to know the team’s strengths and weaknesses (relative to our goal)? How would an ideal team solve this problem and how can we become that team?

Recomendo também conhecimento em SQL para conseguir acessar dados e manipula-los sem depender de outras áreas ou pessoas.

Engineering is a combination of Arts and Sciences. According to Aristoteles, Art is defined as "mimicking nature", so to master arts you have to learn how to mimic the Grand Masters of your profession, who have developed the virtue of "knowing the causes of all happenings in their profession at first sight and at a no-thinking time" (which is much less than dt). Only then you do have a prototype, a model that you tend to reach and become professional because according to Aristoteles, the model cause and the efficient (doer) cause are two out of four causes of all happenings, the other two being the material cause and the final cause

Having a mentor means you get to learn directly from someone with real-world experience. Ask them about challenges they have faced & how they solved them. Discuss your own projects and get their insights on tricky issues. This one-on-one guidance helps you develop critical thinking and effective problem solving techniques. Plus, having a mentor to turn to can make your internship more rewarding & educational.

Vejo hoje que as pessoas que chegam recentes a um time , est?o com as ideias afloradas , querendo colocarem em prática logo . Porém cada seguimento tem seus macetes se é que posso dizer assim , nessa parte que entra o treinamento , aonde os iniciantes aprendem o jeito correto fora da teoria de como tudo deve funcionar , aplicando assim o conhecimento e aprendendo a prática . O mentor deve sim abrir as portas , direcionar e inspecionar o processo , porém deve deixar as pessoas quebrarem um pouco de cabe?a para poderem pensar e talvez criar maneiras novas de trabalhar .

Absolutely, actively seek a mentor. At any stage of life an experienced mentor would be a great resource not many have. It’s even more helpful during internships and at early stage of career.

Certain sections of professionals these days lack integrity. Being honest is the first and foremost basic skill one needs to have in a professional setup. For example, asset breakdowns can be expensive. Corrective maintenance can be even more painstaking to bring back the asset to operation. Hence, deployment of an effective and efficient approach to troubleshoot the broken asset is crucial for the organization. Effective & efficient approach can't be deployed until the first level reporting is accurate & has a clear description of fault recorded in-order to take an appropriate action. Likewise, the majority of complex problems can be solved if the personnel involved are honest in their reporting. The same applies to the maintainer as well.

Internship is one of the first opportunities for electrical engineers to be pushed to adapt to real world situation. Cultivating an adaptive mindset supports problem solving skills because it will allow someone to easily switch on “out-of-the-box” thinking which often gives innovative and up-to-date solutions to challenges in the field
