Ask thought provoking questions to juxtapose two different views. Learning will come from debate and exchange of different perspectives. And as long as throughout the discussion, everyone feels that they have the same goal, despite difference of perspectives, the debate will be productive. Then have individual conversations to go deeper on the ideas shared in the debate (or use one of your 1-1s). Reflection helps crystalize new notions, and turn them into commitments as "next time, I will also consider...".

One thing I once read was that it is more effective to hire a newbie that is eager to learn a lot than an experienced person that thinks they know it all. Especially in the digital and ever changing sphere it is more important to know how to learn new things and adapt to change than to already have knowledge about a lot of (outdated) things.

I like to think of objectives as a web with nodes that are larger or heavier and ones that are smaller or lighter. They all need to be achieved to conquer but sometimes shortcuts can be taken to get to the big ones quicker.
