It is important in assessing to compare against other comparable organizations. It is is very easy to live in our own bubble and we only compare ourselves to our previous selfs. In small organizations, especially we are often intimidated to reach out and gather the information needed to compare our organization to others. The fact is that when we look around, an organization usually finds out that they are not as bad as they feared. Reach out! See how others are doing, it can be inspiring!

Reflection is such a big enhancement throughout personal development and achieving your goals. Not only thinking about, but also focusing on your projects requires inspiration from somewhere. This can take the form of listening to others who you want to learn from, but it also comes from your ability to listen to your own heart and practice and act from there. Journaling and meditating through the years will not only bolster your skill capacity, but also empower you towards propelled success which can significantly enable your determination and motivation as well as bring you to where you want to be in your role in the nonprofit space.
